Music that leaves a mark.

JOLT is a music site for people who don’t need the speech. We publish news when it happens and reviews with a score. The writing is short on purpose. If a story needs 90 words, it gets 90. If a record is a 3, it’s a 3. The point is to jolt you into a decision: play it, skip it, wait for the tour.

Mission

Get readers to the point before anyone else, then tell them if it hits. News that moves. Reviews that decide. Language that keeps people reading.

Vision

Become the tab people open when a track drops, a tour lands, or an album needs a verdict. JOLT is faster than the feed and sharper than the press release.

How we score

Every review carries a score from 1 to 5 and a one-line verdict. No half-measures you can’t defend in a group chat. Most honest records live in the middle; a 5 is rare or the scale dies.
