American Motors drop "Marlboro Miles," a single with no chorus

American Motors posted "Marlboro Miles" on October 12, the second song out from Functional Music, their album due November 6 via The Ghost Is Clear, Expert Work and Vina. A video accompanies it, directed by Amanda Lee McCarty, who works as Clotheshorse.

The Lancaster band recorded Functional Music with J Robbins. "Marlboro Miles" is described as a single without a chorus, and singer Dustin White is fine with that. "A single without a chorus? Why not, baby," he said. The first verse deals with a science fiction convention in Columbus, Ohio. White calls it connective tissue between the first record and this one, and says it is fun to play live.

Lead single "No Horses" came earlier. Functional Music lands November 6 via The Ghost Is Clear, Expert Work and Vina.
