Anna Domino's East And West gets a Domino reissue
A 1984 mini-album, seven unreleased demos, and a video of her own late '70s New York photographs.
BY JOLT Staff · Oct 1 2026 · 1 min readAnna Domino's 1984 five-track mini-album East And West is being reissued on Domino on 12/4. The first taster is "Happy To Go," an unreleased demo out today with a video built from rare archival photographs of late '70s and early '80s New York City, shot by Domino herself.
East And West landed on Les Disques du Crépuscule, the Belgian label that regularly worked with Tony Wilson's Factory Records, while Domino was living downtown in New York. The reissue is more than a straight repress: original tracks and key singles from the period sit alongside seven unreleased demos, newly digitized from her original four-track tapes.
"Happy To Go" leads that set. Artists cited as carrying the record's influence run from Clairo and Horsegirl to HTRK and Astrid Sonne, which places this catalog beside a much younger avant-pop lineage.
The East And West reissue is out 12/4 on Domino. Pre-orders are open.
