Charli XCX brings out Tinashe at Austin City Limits
Tinashe used the guest slot for two live debuts, then opens her own Popstar tour two nights later.
BY JOLT Staff · Oct 11 2026 · 1 min readCharli XCX brought Tinashe out during her headlining set at Austin City Limits Music Festival on Friday (October 9). Tinashe ran two songs, both live debuts: "Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore" and "Melatonin," backed by Charli's dancers.
The pair have history. They collaborated on the 2015 Ty Dolla $ign track "Drop That Kitty" and on a "B2B" edit that landed on last year's Brat remix album. Neither made the ACL set. They did film a TikTok with the audio backstage.
Charli is touring behind Music, Fashion, Film. She closes a North American run with Underscores at the end of this month, then heads to Europe and the UK with opener Audrey Hobert.
Tinashe starts her own Popstar tour tonight (October 11) at FORM Arcosanti in Arizona. ACL wraps its second weekend with Geese, the xx, Blood Orange and the War on Drugs, in the festival's 25th year.
