Dazy shares "Unreasonable Person" before 24-song compilation lands

Dazy, the project of Richmond musician James Goodson, released "Unreasonable Person" on October 19. It arrives four days before MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD Vol. 2: 24 Songs From 2023-2026, out October 23 on Lame-O Records.

The compilation runs 24 songs recorded between 2023 and 2026, seven of them new. Earlier singles from it include "Beat Change" and "Ugly." Tom Breihan called "Beat Change" possibly "the best straight-up Dazy track yet" and described the project as cranking out "bright and catchy fuzz-pop anthems with scary frequency and consistency." The set also carries "Pressure Cooker," a 2022 collaboration with Militarie Gun.

The newer material has Goodson folding breakbeats and samples into the fuzz-pop framework. That shift is the main reason to check the seven new tracks, rather than another pass through the singles.

MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD Vol. 2 is out October 23 on Lame-O Records, with pre-order open now.
