BY JOLT Staff · Oct 20 2026 · 1 min readDev Lemons announced her second album, hunting what we already killed, on October 20, 2026. Lead single "Eat The Pavement" arrives with it. Pre-orders are open through the artist's Bandcamp. The record is her first billed as Dev Lemons since SURFACE TENSION, which came out in the same summer as an EP under her Miss iPad moniker.
The new one pairs her with producer Emmett Kai, an L.A. artist, the first time she has made an album with him. Lemons has been an L.A. artist and comedian for longer than her solo release history suggests: before SURFACE TENSION she ran the parody-rap band Queef Jerky and worked as a DJ who opened for Skrillex.
By her account the departure is deliberate. "The music stands on its own more than it probably has in the past," she said, a shift that fits the touch of ambient and glitch hearing on the record, a bend away from the straight-band framing of the debut single. "Eat The Pavement" is landing to Slow Pulp-played-Deftones comparisons. Nothing else, including a full tour, is announced yet.
