Ebbb share 'Public', a smoother turn from Shallow Hits

The London group follow their Ninja Tune debut with a dream pop single, then a UK tour that runs from Sheffield to Club Cheek.

Ebbb have shared 'Public', their first material since releasing debut album Shallow Hits earlier this year on Ninja Tune.

It swaps the glitchier tendencies of their earlier work for something deliberately smoother: a hazy mesh of dream pop textures. The band say the track is about facing down fear. 'It's about confronting fears, moving forward, and not losing sight of who you are,' they said in a statement. Against the cleaner mix, that holds: 'Public' is the sound of a band unclenching its grip, arriving at the tail of an album that hit hard by trading abrasion for just enough drone and pull.

The track precedes a full UK tour that runs from November 25 at Sheffield to a close at London's Club Cheek on December 1. The band announced the single on 8 October 2026.
