Emancipator returns with Chrysalis, first solo album since 2020
The 16-track record is out on Loci Records, with Kishi Bashi and SunSquabi among the features and a US and Canada tour behind it.

A pair of guests do the heavy lifting up top: track three is "The Painted Lady (feat. Kishi Bashi)" and track 14 is "Dogwood (feat. SunSquabi, Stephanie Starnes)". The album's own tags point to the usual territory, electronic, organic, trip-hop, downtempo, instrumental.
The tour is already booked across two legs. November 5 brings him to Somerville Theatre in Somerville, MA, then Brooklyn's The Hall at Elsewhere on November 6. The run picks up again November 19 at Vancouver's Hollywood Theatre, through Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, LA, Atlanta, Nashville and Asheville, closing December 19 at The Orange Peel.
