Feist inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall Of Fame

Leslie Feist was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall Of Fame at Massey Hall in Toronto on September 27, 2026. Finneas, the Grammy-winning producer and musician, did the inducting. The night also honoured the Tragically Hip, Loverboy's Mike Reno and Paul Dean, and Roch Voisine.

The tribute ran through her catalogue. Charlotte Cornfield opened with "How Come You Never Go There." Jeff Tweedy sang "The Park." Finneas closed on "My Moon My Man," a cover he released the Friday before as an Amazon Music Original. Feist joined Cornfield on "Living With It," from the recent album Hurts Like Hell.

Finneas framed the induction around the writing. "She has the most beautiful voice I can imagine a person having and writes lyrics and melodies that have moved me to tears and made my wife and I dance in our kitchen for years," he said. "She also kicks ass at the guitar."
