Florence Road drop "Wish Upon You," a love song that happened by accident

Florence Road released "Wish Upon You" on October 9, their second single of the year, out now on Warner. It follows "7563" in August.

The Irish band wrote it without a plan, they said, and it turned into a love song anyway. The idea is simple enough: being with someone and not needing to interrogate it. "There's no great sadness behind it or complicated story," they said. Lily Aron's voice carries the middle.

The timing did not arrive softly. The band finished a North American run last week, playing it out on borrowed equipment after someone broke into the tour van in LA and stole their gear. Once the song had a rough cut they released a video that wastes none of it.
