IVM Trio's debut album lands as Bandcamp Daily's Album of the Day

IVM Trio released their debut album Explain Yourselves on October 2, 2026, via Accidental Meetings. The group, Mika Oki, Apulati Bien and percussionist and composer Sébastien Forrester, take an alphabetical-adjacency of initials for their name IVM, short for Inner Voice Movement. The album is available on vinyl LP.

On October 6, Bandcamp Daily named it Album of the Day. Matthew Blackwell wrote the review, and the album's guests include the vocalists Sara Persico, Grove and bela. Grove's line on the record: "My love is gone/ Just like me/ Just like me/ Just like me..." Grief, cut into short pieces.

Wrongly pegged as a rethink of beat theorist Invisible Man, IVM drop their first trio recording, and are found missing from dance cultures of the algorithmic dawn. Accidental Meetings' release stands alone for now: no dates and no follow-up are announced.
