Julia Jacklin shares new single “The Hardest Thing” from upcoming album

Julia Jacklin has released a new single, "The Hardest Thing," via 4AD. The track, out August 24, is the third preview of her upcoming album, The Gem, and arrives with a music video directed by Danny Cohen.

Cohen's video is a single drone shot orbiting a Melbourne skyscraper. The song itself is a sunny, laid-back chug with a big, shiny chorus, and lyrics that cut: "The hardest thing to do is believe it when you say, 'I love you.'"

The Gem follows previous singles "Get Away From Me (I Think I'll Love You Soon)" and "I Wish," and is set for release on 9/25 via 4AD.
