The Providence synthesist released his new album on RVNG Intl. and got a nine-release catalog survey from Bandcamp Daily.
BY JOLT Staff · Oct 8 2026 · 1 min readM. Geddes Gengras released a new collaborative LP, Guest List, on October 06, 2026 via RVNG Intl. It stitches remote-recorded contributions into what Bandcamp Daily calls healing, restorative patchworks, possibly his most expansive and communal work to date.
Ryan Reed's accompanying Bandcamp Daily feature surveys nine key releases from Gengras's catalog, tracing the throughline from his first instrument, a Moog Rogue he bought on eBay as a teenager, to modular synthesis. Around 2000 in Providence, Rhode Island, a 16-ish Gengras saw Stereolab open for Sonic Youth and clocked the Moog on stage. "It made a crazy, weird sci-fi sound," he says.
Guest List runs through "All the Light," which opens with textured synth and ECM jazz-pop atmospheres, and "The List Is Millions Long," with compressed drums, gooey sound-bath guitar, and a dissolution into weeping saxophones. It's out on Vinyl LP, CD, and T-Shirt/Shirt. Gengras's 2012 album Icon Give Thank, made with Sun Araw and the Congos, gets a slot in the guide.
