Metallica map out 12-date stadium tour for 2027
The M72 trek gets a second life. Limp Bizkit and Avatar open, and each city gets one night instead of the usual two.

The band announced a 12-date North American stadium run on September 25, 2026, kicking off May 8 at BC Place in Vancouver and closing June 19. The itinerary also reaches San Diego, El Paso, San Antonio, Fayetteville, Kansas City, Raleigh, Indianapolis, Buffalo, Madison, Cleveland, and Salt Lake City. Limp Bizkit and Avatar support.
Two things are different this time. Each city gets a single show rather than the M72 model of two nights with no repeats, and these dates follow the band's Life Burns Faster residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, which runs from October 2026 through March 2027. So they arrive with a Sphere run behind them and a full year between the road and here.
Before any of that, Metallica play two nights at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, on November 19 and 21, booked to mark the venue's 25th anniversary. Tickets for the 2027 stadium dates go through Ticketmaster.
