Noel Gallagher gets ejected from an Ali G screening by Ali G

On October 24, Sacha Baron Cohen posted a clip of himself in character as Ali G walking into a screening of his new film, Ali G: Who Iz I?, and trying to throw Noel Gallagher out. The two barbs land in the clip. "You look like, what's his name, one of them Oasis twins, innit." Then: "It's Nigel Gallagher, innit? 50-year-old white man trying to make a comeback after 20 years, so sad."

The bit has a hold on history. More than a decade ago, Gallagher was quoted saying, "My kids go to private school because I don't want them coming home talking like Ali G." Cohen has had a decade to read that one. The film's rollout was truncated by Amazon/MGM, which puts an ejected rock star in the door of the promotion.

Gallagher had been on screens the day before: a Chicken Shop Date appearance with Amelia Dimoldenberg where he dissed vegetarians and joked about the meaning of Champagne Supernova. Cohen posted the clip; nothing else about the film's release is announced.
