Leila Rodriguez published a review of Chloé Jara-Buto's album om-om on October 1, 2026. The record, released February 6, 2026, runs eleven tracks of home-recorded pop, and the review puts it next to Stereolab's Dots and Loops, Parsley Sound's self-titled album, and Lali Puna's Scary World Theory.

Jara-Buto is a Montreal artist who released om-om on her own. Before this she played on PERMA's 2024 EP. The review frames the record as Québécois and hears it balancing minimalist bedroom-pop texture with baroque-ish synth layering. Tracks named include "Boldo," "nouveau grappin," and seventh cut "rond."

om-om is streaming on Spotify, and Jara-Buto hosts it on her Bandcamp as well.
