Peanut Butter Wolf is the guest on the Transmissions podcast, posted October 7, 2026. The Stones Throw founder talks through the label's 30-year run, from a small backpacker hip-hop imprint to an Adult Swim-boosted operation, and a roster that now holds post-punk, electro, future-forward R&B and art-soul.

The conversation is career-spanning. It reaches back to the label's earliest days and covers Wolf's own major label experiences, years before the returns-lost narrative hardened.

An episode before a party is normally scene upkeep. This one has a date on it: the Stones Throw 30 music festival runs October 16, 17 and 18 in Highland Park. The interview lands as announcement marketing, but also as some version of the label's internal map.

The episode is available now. Stones Throw 30 is the next public move: Highland Park, three days, October 16 through 18.
