Radio Free Alice tap Water From Your Eyes' Rachel Brown for "Big Ideas"

Radio Free Alice released "Big Ideas" on October 1, a new song featuring Rachel Brown of Water From Your Eyes. It is the third preview of What's In Between, the Melbourne band's debut album, out October 30 on Atlantic, following "Rule 31" and "Kick In The Shins."

Band leader Noah Learmonth said the song came together in a lull. "'Big Ideas' was the first song in a while we were pleased with," he said. It was written in the storage unit the band uses to rehearse, riff first, bassline second. The second vocal arrived by design: start to finish, the band heard it as a call and response, and they had wanted Brown on a track since catching Water From Your Eyes in Melbourne. "They have such an interesting, distinctive voice," Learmonth said.

Director Owen Schatz shot the video last week, put together as the band flew to LA for a surprise pop-up show.

What's In Between is out 10/30 on Atlantic.
