The Koreatown Oddity drops fourth album 'Purdy' via Stones Throw

The Koreatown Oddity released his fourth album, 'Purdy', on February 10 via Stones Throw. The 15-track record arrives four years after 2022's 'ISTHISFORREAL?', which itself came two years after 'Little Dominique's Nosebleed'.

The album's title is the artist's real name: Dominique Purdy. The songs move through a knight's first battle on 'Balance Beam', the cultivation of a lawn on 'Astro Turf', and petty rivalries framed as beefing sauce brands on 'Ragu & Prego'. 'Artist in the Painting' works as a loop: an artist paints a landscape, then paints himself painting that landscape. '[It's] the artist inside the painting and the observer of the painting while the painting is being painted,' Purdy says.

Koreatown Oddity plays Stones Throw festival in LA later this month.
