The Snuts record fourth album in a seventy-pound-a-day Airbnb
The Scottish band's Joy In Short Moments is out in October, cut in two weeks in a rural rental with a drum kit in the kitchen.
BY JOLT Staff · Oct 5 2026 · 1 min readThe Snuts have announced their fourth studio album, Joy In Short Moments, out in October. Apple's storefront lists a release date of October 23.
Frontman Jack Cochrane says the band skipped corporate studios for a seventy-pound-a-day Airbnb in the Scottish countryside. They built a studio in the living room and stayed two weeks. Mattresses went against the walls and over the windows for soundproofing. The hosts, per Cochrane, had no idea. A drum kit sat in the kitchen.
It follows W.D., their chart-topping debut, then Burn The Empire and 2024's Millenials, the record they made after going out on their own. Cochrane says anonymity suited them: no emails asking if the record was ready, no deadline, no rush. He wrote the title phrase down first, before any songs. One favorite, PTS, came after Scotland beat Denmark to reach the World Cup. The album is up for pre-order.
