U2 begin rehearsals for first stadium tour since 2019

U2 have started rehearsing for a stadium tour, their first since The Joshua Tree Tour in 2019. The trek is not yet announced, but the band recently began rehearsals for it. Plans are still being finalised.

Larry Mullen Jr. sat out the band's Las Vegas Sphere residency while recovering from surgery on a congenital fusion in a facet joint in his neck. He expects to be behind the kit this time. "Even if I can't play for two and a half hours, if I can play for an hour, that's enough," he said. "I've had it so good that I'll accept that."

The band are still working out how much new material goes in the setlist. Bono has floated playing smaller venues around the stadium dates, where the setlists could lean harder on new songs.
