Yayoba's Matkat lands as Bandcamp Daily's Album of the Day

The pan-European trio of Paul Wilson, Johannes Schebler and Jani Hirvonen put out their new record on October 5.

Yayoba released Matkat on October 5, and Bandcamp Daily made it the site's Album of the Day. The trio is Paul Wilson, an electroacoustic composer and yoga teacher from Brighton on the English south coast, Johannes Schebler, the German musician, and Jani Hirvonen, from Tampere in Finland. Three musicians, three corners of Europe.

Matkat is Finnish for "journeys" or "trips," which fits what is on it. Song titles include "Molecular Fizz," "Flux Flow" and "Living Dimensional Tunnel," and a cassette pressing is available alongside the record, which is still listed for pre-order.

Nothing else is teased for Yayoba right now. What is coming instead are more records from Schebler's other projects, Hui and Baldruin.
