Ye Gods enlist Jarboe for three-track album Los

Antoni Maiovvi's occult electronics project lands on Rocket Recordings, seven years and 12 releases in.

Ye Gods released Los on Rocket Recordings, published 8:30am on 21 October. The project is Antoni Maiovvi, also known as AD Goodfellow, and Los is his three-track occult devotional electronics album, with Jarboe appearing across it.

The record arrives seven years and 12 releases into the project, following 2019's self-titled release. Los references William Blake, tells of a schizophrenic character who believes he is talking to a higher power and commits sacrificial infanticide, and gives more of Maiovvi's voice up front than before. Jarboe works mostly as a whisper against it. Each of the three tracks changes course at the halfway mark.

Maiovvi framed the thing himself: "If I was a sinner, I would be an architect and if I was a preacher, I would be a scientist." The project name, per the announcement, came from Killing Joke's Jaz Coleman, who suggested it after appearing to Maiovvi in a dream.

Los is out now on Rocket Recordings.
