Beyoncé: B'Day anniversary makes the Spanish side matter

B'Day hit twenty, and Beyoncé answered with 31 tracks instead of a polite anniversary skip. The B'Day (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition), out September 4, 2026, holds the original 2006 set's core intact: 'Déjà Vu', 'Get Me Bodied', 'Suga Mama', 'Upgrade U', 'Ring the Alarm', 'Kitty Kat', 'Freakum Dress', 'Green Light', 'Irreplaceable' and 'Resentment' remain all here. Then it piles on bonus songs, Spanish-language takes and remixes until it seems less like one record and more like a full drawer.

The most valuable additions are the Spanish tracks. 'Cuerpo (Tumbao)' with Maluma gives 'Get Me Bodied' a counterpart at 3:08, and 'Irreemplazable (Como La Flor)' at 4:52 drops the Spanish version of 'Irreplaceable' into Selena's 1995 hit 'Como La Flor'. The Selena estate approved it, which is the difference between a tribute and an unauthorized mashup. The rest of the back half keeps that thread running: 'Listen (Oye)', 'Beautiful Liar (Bello Embustero)', 'Amor Gitano', 'Get Me Bodied (Mueve El Cuerpo)' and the Norteña remix of 'Irreemplazable'. The old bonus material now reads as a second album in miniature.

That volume of music brings clutter. 'Get Me Bodied' is repeated across five versions, 'Irreplaceable' shows up four times, and the extended mix plus Timbaland remix push the back half into archive ground. The original tracks still land. The need to navigate is the price of having all in one spot, and for a 20th anniversary release, all may be the aim.

The rollout also features a wooden case at $948.01 plus near $130 for tax and delivery. That is a fan trinket, not a sound debate. Skip the packaging and the anniversary set works: a plain remix collection would rate a 3, and the family-sanctioned Selena blend plus the genuine Spanish track list reaches a 4. This is a rerelease that shifts where the older tracks reside rather than simply billing you to recall them.
