Andy Stott announces first album in five years, Late Loop

Andy Stott revealed Late Loop, marking his first LP in five years. Featuring eight tracks, it drops October 30 via Modern Love.

Late Loop includes vocals by Alison Skidmore and Elaine Howley. Skidmore performed vocals on Stott's 2014 cut "Faith In Strangers," though Howley is newly connected to his circle. Her voice fronts the opening track "Something In My Mind."

Stott crafted the record without bass, without reverb, and without any effects except a delay unit. That strips away his typical dense layering.

Late Loop is available for preorder as of now. Apple Music has the release scheduled for October 30.
