Automatic's 'Is It Now?' surfaces on Bandcamp

Automatic’s latest record, “Is It Now?,” is available everywhere through Stones Throw Records, with production by Loren Humphrey, who has collaborated with Arctic Monkeys and Cameron Winter. This L.A. trio’s set of nine songs features “Black Box,” “Mercury,” and “Country Song.”

The record’s closer ‘Terminal’ switches to Arabic partway through, delivering the line: "The world spins around us / life is sand in our hands / and love is a story we couldn't find it." That gesture is the LP’s most daring choice, and it succeeds.

A review dated September 9, 2026 described the record as a crisp set of post-punk restraint carrying a warm, living feel. The entire album is currently available to stream.
