Cell Rot announce second album Paradise, share 'Paradise/Parasite II'

Cell Rot have announced their second album Paradise and shared lead single 'Paradise/Parasite II' even as the record rushed closer: out September 25 on Convulse, with a 12-song tracklist.

Paradise completes the two-part project that started with last year's Parasite, recorded once again with producer Jack Shirley, who worked the band's Oakland hardcore into a compact shout. Vocalist Kyle puts the conflict plainly in the single that samples strings already sung into pop radio corners ('Paradise, searchin' for your paradise,' he bellows, then cuts it with the hangover chorus: 'You're feedin' like a parasite').

The piece is both title track and parasite number for what the band implies has been a miscalculation of the comfortable American something spread; the group says nothing more about touring stands ahead.
