Chat Pile drop fourth album, Who Loves the Sun

Chat Pile released their new studio album Who Loves the Sun on September 23, 2026. It is the Oklahoma City band's latest full-length.

The record follows Earth Again, their collaborative project with Hayden Pedigo, and lands two years after Cool World. The four-piece remains vocalist Raygun Busch, guitarist Luther Manhole, bassist Stin and drummer Cap'n Ron, seven years into the lineup that made 2022's God's Country.

Busch's lyrics stay in familiar territory. One verse runs: "Landfill has crept into our home / Demons are dancing in the halls of empty domes." Another: "You move deeper into screens / Into the deep blue sea." Word counts suggest no letting up. God's Country stacked 2,043 words of Busch; Sun stacks 2,044.

No tour dates or further releases are announced. The album is streaming now.
