Deerhoof have revealed their upcoming record Divine Schism, arriving October 2. The first track and beginning piece "Sun Like It Hot" is out now.

The record was made partly at home and partly at Russian Recording with Mike Bridavsky. It comes out independently, with Joyful Noise's support, as a tour-exclusive vinyl and CD, plus a digital release on Bandcamp. The song list has nine tracks.

Tour dates are posted now. The physical edition exists only on tour, so a gig is the only place to get one.
