End It frontman gets Banana Man saga tattoo

End It frontman Akil Godsey got a new tattoo commemorating this summer's Banana Man saga. The piece, depicting a running banana in a prohibited symbol, was done at Baltimore's Red Thorn Tattoo on August 29 and shown off on his Instagram Stories.

The incident happened at End It's Toronto show in early June, when Godsey called out a fan in a banana costume for wanting attention, then offered the setlist to whoever stripped off the costume. Godsey later said, "Who woulda thought doing something stupid at a show would get me a month of attention?" but also received racism and death threats after the events.

The saga closed on a fitting note some weeks later: at the Jera On Air festival, Godsey hugged perhaps a different Banana Man. The tattoo makes the story permanent. It participates in a category that includes "no, officer."
