Falling Drones released the debut album Pressure Drop today. The artist announced it plainly: "Today marks the day that I publish my debut album Pressure Drop."

It arrives 13 years after the artist last produced a track. Work on the record began in January this year. Falling Drones is a new name chosen because the music is more mature and refined than earlier work. Pressure Drop runs mostly through ambient and drone, with loscil, Biosphere and Boards of Canada cited as influences. Gear on the album included an MPK Mini IV, an H1 Essential field recorder and Ableton Live.

The record is built as a single arc. "Pressure Drop is meant to be listened as a whole," the artist said, with the album tracing a storm building, breaking and clearing across its runtime.

On returning to production, the artist said: "Being able again to produce feels therapeutic." The album is streaming now.
