Fiona Apple covers Mother Earth's "Revolution" for a benefit album

Fiona Apple released a cover of Mother Earth's 1968 protest song "Revolution" on November 6, timed to the results of Tuesday's midterms. The recording comes from her usual room: David Garza, Sebastian Steinberg and Amy Aileen Wood, the players behind Fetch the Bolt Cutters, are credited on the track. It is streaming now via Zelda Hallman's Instagram.

The cover will appear on Right Now, a benefit compilation produced by Dougie Bowne, with proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders. The original cut from 1968 returns to a moment with similar weather.

Right Now is a compilation with Doctors Without Borders named as its beneficiary. The Apple track is the first piece of it to surface, going out alone on a Wednesday afternoon via Instagram.
