Gollylagging drop "Red Fish" ahead of debut album Real Life
The Boston four-piece share the first cut from Real Life, out 16 October, built on a drum machine they nearly second-guessed.
BY JOLT Staff · Sep 12 2026 · 1 min readBoston DIY quartet Gollylagging released "Red Fish" on 12 September 2026, the first single from their debut album Real Life, which is listed for release on 16 October. It is their first new music from a full-length.
The band is Jake Regulbuto on guitar and vocals, Jules Skiffington on guitar and vocals, Andrew Garas on drums and Joey Lorant on bass. Nearly a decade of touring the Massachusetts circuit sits behind them.
Drummer Andrew Garas said the song grew out of experimenting with percussion: "It was cool to just kind of experiment a little more with how you can make percussion sound. Whether it's real or programmed, or just a mix of both."
Skiffington pushed the programming further, fluttering hi-hats in Logic at Regulbuto's request. "Jake was like, 'Yeah, I think I want you to keep that,'" Skiffington said. Nothing else from the album is announced.
