Kanye West returns to Chicago for first hometown shows since 2021

Two nights at Soldier Field, with guest lists spanning his career.

BY JOLT Staff · Sep 5 2026 · 1 min read

Kanye West performed his first local concerts since 2021 over the weekend, topping the bill at Soldier Field in Chicago on September 5. The opening night featured Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Future, and Twista; the second night included Young Thug, Common, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and Kid Cudi.

The weekend marks West's most visible period since *Bully*, his purported AI-involved record, and trails a show at SoFi Stadium in April. It likewise arrives once multiple overseas tour stops were scrapped following his hateful comments about Jews.

Kid Cudi, who showed up on night two, replied live to backlash over his involvement. No additional statements from West have been revealed.
