Mike Watt announces Thresher collab album 'Beekeeper', supergroup Casa Sueño

Mike Watt has been staying active. On September 4 he unveiled two initiatives: a joint record with Thresher called ‘Beekeeper’, dropping September 10 through OwnSound Recordings, plus a fresh combo dubbed Casa Sueño featuring guitarist Mike Baggetta and drummer John Herndon.

“Sip Of The Sweetness” along with “The Bee Dance” have just been released. Casa Sueño, which Baggetta unveiled back in June, starts a run of shows on September 17 through October 10, featuring stops in San Pedro, Costa Mesa, San Diego, plus Tijuana.

Watt and Baggetta had earlier performed as part of mssv. Another supergroup featuring Watt, Big Circle, put out an eponymous EP back in July. Casa Sueño’s main track should be arriving shortly.
