Mollie Elizabeth releases 'Petty Crimes'

Mollie Elizabeth has released the new single 'Petty Crimes'. The track, produced by Joshua Murty with strings composed by Kyle Gordon and Mark Rudin, pushes back against the male gaze and online misogyny. It also covers sidelined trauma and mental health.

Elizabeth grew up on an isolated mountain in Washington's Cascade Range and recorded early demos on a $12 microphone. Her self-released 'Vegas Venetian' became an internet phenomenon.

"In my experience, you have to hit rock bottom as a young woman to be taken seriously by doctors," she says. "I was misdiagnosed for years, on medications my body didn't need and that didn't help me at all."

'Petty Crimes' is "my final call for people to believe me when I say something is wrong," she adds, "and the realization that going feral is the only way to get them to listen."
