Oasis fly a drone show over Manchester, then say wait until Monday

The band lit up the sky above Etihad's Joie Stadium on Thursday and pointed everyone at an announcement on September 14 at 4 p.m. BST.

Oasis sent drones up over Etihad's Joie Stadium in Manchester on Thursday night for a tease, and the punchline lands Monday, September 14 at 4 p.m. BST, 11 a.m. EST. The week before was all city names on social media with no explanation attached. Now there is a time and a place to look.

The obvious read is a 2027 tour. The Gallaghers have all but confirmed the band will be back on the road next year, and Noel Gallagher put it in his own words: "There's no football tournament on next year, so we've got to do something in the summer, right?" Nothing official has been announced beyond the date and the drones.

The cliffhanger is well timed. Don't Look Back in Anger, a documentary covering the 2025 reunion tour, hit theaters the same day, which gave the drone lights somewhere to land. Full details of the announcement are expected Tuesday, September 14.
