BY JOLT Staff · Sep 11 2026 · 1 min readRachel Chinouriri released 'Make believe', a new single, on October 16th. It follows 'One song away from crying' as the second cut from her upcoming album 'I think I spoke too soon', which lands the same day.
She calls the track a portrait of a side she sees as empowering but is really mask work. "It's actually about never holding my own boundaries and allowing someone who clearly hates me to have access to me at any moment," she said. The song is built glossy and precise, melody first, the kind of construction that hides the self-worth problem underneath.
Chinouriri played Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields Festival this year on a bill with Chappell Roan, Doechii, and Stevie Nicks, and knocks out a short European run this week. In December she supports Gracie Abrams across North American arenas. The album is out October 16th. Nothing else on the schedule is announced.
