Reigns expand to a quartet for Antigeist

The Somerset sibling duo added drummer Rob Ellis and bassist Joe Thompson for their new album, out now.

Reigns have released Antigeist, the Somerset sibling duo's first album as a quartet. Roo and Tim Farthing, who have recorded as a duo since 2004, brought in drummer and arranger Rob Ellis and bassist Joe Thompson for the record. It came out 25 September 2026.

The tracklist runs eleven songs, opening on "On Fumes" and closing on "America." In between are "Beast," "Fragments," "The Vine Speaks" and "Population 106," the last of which the band describes as a synthwave number. Tim Farthing's lyrics carry the record's unease: "We keep the lights off in this room / We won't see the state of it," he writes on one cut, and on the closer, "That's it, I quit. I'm walking to America."

The expanded lineup is the first the project has worked with on record after more than two decades as a duo. Antigeist is out now.
