Ryan Hemsworth shares new track from first solo album in eight years

The Canadian producer returns with 'I Missed You More,' the latest preview of 'Numbskull.'

Ryan Hemsworth has released 'I Missed You More,' a new song featuring Nana Lourdes, from his upcoming album 'Numbskull,' out October 21 on Topshelf. The track is a bleary, chopped-up, deconstructed pop song.

It is the first solo release from the Canadian producer in eight years. In between, he has worked as half of the duo Bodysync and as part of Gia Margaret's live band. Previously shared cuts 'One Step' with Sarah Tudzin and 'A Display Of Emotion' are also on the album, which includes guest spots from Tegan And Sara and MSPAINT.

Hemsworth says he tried around eight versions of the song before landing on what he calls an early 2010s chillwave sound. "Nana is a dream to work with and can just quickly write these infectious pop melodies and engineer things perfectly," he said.
