Stevie Wonder announces Songs in the Key of Life 50th anniversary tour

Stevie Wonder has unveiled an 18-show tour marking the 50th anniversary of Songs in the Key of Life. Beginning October 13 in Birmingham, England, the schedule includes Paris, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Cologne, Amsterdam, Dublin, London, Manchester, Glasgow, New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Detroit, and Los Angeles, running until December 19.

US dates feature Madison Square Garden, United Center, Capital One Arena, Fox Theatre, and Intuit Dome. Public on-sale for US shows is September 10 (Detroit comes September 15). UK and European fan pre-sale begins September 9, while general ticketing opens September 11.

Wonder presents the 1976 two-LP set entirely. The album, issued September 28, 1976, still ranks among soul's boldest efforts.
