The National's Matt Berninger and Aaron Dessner join Ohio rally for Amy Acton

Matt Berninger and Aaron Dessner of The National appear at the Fighting For Ohio Rally in Cincinnati this Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. ET. The rally backs Dr. Amy Acton's campaign for governor and Sherrod Brown's Senate bid. The Cincinnati location has not yet been disclosed.

Acton, Ohio's director of health through the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, is running against Republican Vivek Ramaswamy. The National have done this before: the band lent "Fake Empire" to Barack Obama's 2008 campaign and played a 2012 Obama benefit in Columbus.

Today, John Legend, a Springfield native, appears with Acton in Dayton. The Dayton Daily News reports that Legend is not expected to perform there.

The Cincinnati event is a rally only: no set, no time on stage and no other dates announced.
