Vanishing Twin's sixth album Archives lands as Bandcamp Daily's Album of the Day

The London group's new full-length is out today, described by the review as moving from synth motifs to modal folk and back.

Vanishing Twin released Archives, their sixth full-length album, on September 9, 2026, and it ran as Bandcamp Daily's Album of the Day. The review is written by Jennifer Kelly. Archives is available on Vinyl LP and Compact Disc.

Three tracks shape the album's scope. "Sugar Stone" starts with a two-note synth motif strained by vibrato, the production pushing against the hook instead of decorating it. "Bring Me the Axe" opens in modal folk before moving into disco. The title cut, "Archives," rests on an extended spoken word section. Cathy Lucas performs in what the review describes as a trance-state register.

The album is available on vinyl and CD. Six full-lengths in, the catalog keeps altering form.
