GloRilla and Sexyy Red take crunk to the nursing home

The pair's crunk-inspired single lands with a video of both rappers as elderly versions of themselves throwing a rager. It plays as a trailer for GloRilla's second album.

"Jiggly Bow Bow" arrives as a crunk record and gets by on its video. GloRilla and Sexyy Red play elderly versions of themselves throwing a party in a nursing home, the kind of image you can sell in a thumbnail. The song underneath runs 2:44.

GloRilla's debut, Glorious, landed in 2024 and she is finishing her second album now. Sexyy Red has been the repeat collaborator: "Whatchu Kno About Me" off that debut, then Tyler, the Creator's "Sticky" with Lil Wayne, then Summer Walker's "Baller" with Monaleo. Four tracks in, the pairing is a habit.

The single came out November 4, the video a day later. The release names no producer and no label, and describes the sound only as crunk-inspired and high energy. It does say what the track is for: a preview of the second album.

Crunk is a narrow inheritance, and a single with this title is built to be shouted. At 2:44 there is little room past a hook and a pass at it, so the title carries what a chorus usually would. That is the format working. It still leaves the video holding the record's best idea.

It is for anyone who kept "Whatchu Kno About Me" on repeat and wants the two of them in a room again, and for listeners who treat crunk as a working tradition. It is not for anyone waiting on the album: this is a postcard from it.

What does not work is the balance. The nursing home setup has more structure than the song does, and nothing in the release says who produced it or where the album goes past the tag.

Three out of five: the partnership is proven and the concept carries, but the song is thin on its own. The video is the part you send to someone.
