JUNHEE: the method loosens into lowercase

Nine tracks, 28 minutes, a title that promises a system. JUNHEE's PAN album tests whether love can be methodical.

LOVE METHOD is a title with an argument: love can be practiced, repeated, systemized. JUNHEE's nine-track PAN album, out August 7, 2026, runs less than 29 minutes and spends that time walking a specific route. It starts in all caps, with '5 STARS' and 'LA LA LA LUNE,' brings WOW in for 'GET OUT,' then starts to soften. 'Lemonade' is a comedown. 'OMW' brings Kim min jae in for the last collaboration. After that, the record is on its own, and the titles get smaller: 'Wonder why,' 'Medicine,' 'At least, I tried,' 'Forever young.' The capitalization is not decoration. It is the plot.

That is the smartest thing about the record. The structure tells the same story the titles tell, from loud certainty to lowercase doubt. Nine songs in 28 minutes is discipline. Nothing overstays, and the two shortest tracks, 'Lemonade' at 2:37 and 'OMW' at 2:44, sit right at the pivot point, almost as if the record is trying to get past its own defenses. 'At least, I tried' is the longest track at 3:42, and it earns that extra space by arriving where the record has been heading all along: admission.

The flaws are built into the same design. The first half is crowded with gestures. '5 STARS,' 'LA LA LA LUNE,' and 'GET OUT' are three strong titles, but they are also three exits in a row, and the features are front-loaded. WOW appears on track three, Kim min jae on track five, and then no one else. When the record turns inward, it turns inward alone, which makes the late run feel thinner than it needs to. 'Wonder why' and 'Medicine' are close in length and close in function, two asks that could have been one. The method holds, but the middle can blur.

Still, a record that knows exactly what it is doing should be rewarded for doing it. LOVE METHOD makes a claim, tests it, and ends on a lowercase note that sounds chosen rather than accidental. It is not some flawless monument, and it does not need to be. It is a good record with a clear idea and the sense to stop before the idea wears out.
