Ava Franks and Young Rising Sons share 'Sweetless Surrender'

Ava Franks and Young Rising Sons released 'Sweetless Surrender' on March 11, 2026. It is the New York singer-songwriter's first collaborative single since her 2021 debut, and it puts her in a room with the New Jersey alt-pop outfit.

The track leans on acoustic intimacy up top and opens into full-throated indie rock, with a nineties cut that the announcement ties to Lilith Fair classics. Young Rising Sons frontman Andy Tongren takes the second verse. A lyric video follows two people through a day by the ocean.

Young Rising Sons have passed 100 million streams and toured with Halsey and Weezer. They released their debut album, Still Point in a Turning World, in 2022. The single arrives with the lyric video and the streaming release.
