Bash Croft samples The Wannadies on first single from debut EP

Bash Croft has released 'Everything Always Now', the first single from his debut EP 'The Great Forever'. The song samples The Wannadies' 'You & Me Song', which appeared on their 1993 album 'Be A Girl'. The EP is out November 13th and holds eight songs.

Pär Wiksten of The Wannadies approved the lift, and Croft is the only musician he has cleared this sample for. "It's just so exciting to see that 30 years later, someone has taken a part of this song but kept its same feeling," Wiksten said.

Croft is 24 and known for playing a young Eddard Stark in Game of Thrones and Ben Hope in Heartstopper, plus a turn on Celebrity Traitors with Jerry Hall and Richard E Grant. He ties the record to personal fallout: "Truthfully, my first breakup was the smoking gun that made me an artist."

Nothing else from 'The Great Forever' is announced. Croft is also launching a podcast, Sunday Scaries.
