BY JOLT Staff · Nov 5 2026 · 1 min readSam and Louise Sullivan released a cover of The Strokes' "Trying Your Luck" on November 4. It is the lead single from Familiar Strangers Vol. 1: Is This It, a tribute compilation on 22Twenty. The Philadelphia siblings recorded their version on a 4-track and took the song in a dreamy, minimal direction.
The compilation lands a month later, dated 12/4 and billed as the first in a series. Is This It hit its 25th anniversary this year, and the tribute runs the debut's 11 songs, from Jermango Dreaming's "Is This It" to Cameraman Never Dies' "Take It Or Leave It." "Trying Your Luck" is a deep cut to lead with.
A portion of proceeds goes to Sounds Of Saving, a youth mental health nonprofit rooted in music culture. The Sullivans' own album this year, Love & Devotion, has been called one of 2026's best by the label-circulated praise. Nothing else from the pair is announced. The compilation is available to pre-save ahead of 12/4.
