Fatima Al Qadiri announces 3TWI EP on Hyperdub

The four-track EP lands October 9, led by '7ilween' and a Sophia Al-Maria video.

Fatima Al Qadiri will release a new four-track EP, 3TWI (عتوي), on Hyperdub on October 9. The title comes from a Kuwaiti Arabic femme slang term meaning "dirty old man." The lead track, '7ilween', translates to "pretty young things," and arrives with a video directed by Sophia Al-Maria.

The EP features guest contributions from Bobo Secret, Lama3an and Gumar, and the label says it pays musical homage to West Asian folk dance music. A press release describes the '7ilween' visual as nodding to popular Iraqi dance music videos and queer Gulf memes.

Hyperdub releases 3TWI (عتوي) on October 9.
