Gracie Abrams brings Daughter From Hell to SNL and debuts a new song

Abrams was the musical guest for the second time, performing "Hit The Wall" and the live debut of "Here You Come, There You Go."

Gracie Abrams was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live last night, her second time in the slot. She performed "Hit The Wall" and "Here You Come, There You Go"; the second song was its live debut.

"Here You Come, There You Go" is out now as part of the newly announced deluxe version of Daughter From Hell, which carries five additional songs. That is the only new release news attached to the appearance so far.

The staging drew on Baz Luhrmann's 1996 Romeo + Juliet: Abrams dressed as Juliet for the first song and as Romeo for the second. Inde Navarrette hosted. Tom Hanks returned in the cold open as David S. Pumpkins, the character first introduced on the show's Halloween episode a decade ago.

The guest who most wanted star wattage managed not to depend on it, and the outfit changes only make the point more public: she is putting new material in front of the largest audience available, in full costume.
